Accommodating a 280,000 volume collection, 480 student study
stations and other spaces required to support growth in collection
size and student use over the next twenty years, the library defines
a major campus entry and anchors a formerly open corner of the quad.
A progression of facade setbacks and height changes culminate at the
new main entry to the library. Numerous design elements are derived
from existing campus building context.
The Beulah Williams Library is an AIA South Dakota Merit Award
winner.
