New bedrooms, common areas and service spaces are seamlessly added to the original building to meet a growing need for shelter from domestic violence.

The building is rezoned to create a more welcoming countenance while improving security and to separate "business" areas from "shelter" areas. Common use areas such as living, dining and play spaces are expanded to service the additional guests.
