Architects and Engineers Serve at The Banquet

Koch Hazard Architects, West Plains Engineering, Structural Engineering Associates and Sayre Associates served 225 guests at The Banquet the morning of October 17. Guests were greeted with a hot breakfast of biscuits and gravy, eggs and fruit. The volunteer team cooked breakfast, served the meal, washed dishes and visited with guests.

Following a successful funding campaign, The Banquet will be getting a new building at West 5th Street and North Marion road. Koch Hazard Architects is serving as the Architect-of-Record for the project. The project is currently in the design phase.

The Banquet has been serving free meals in Sioux Falls since 1985. Volunteers provide, prepare and serve 13 meals a week at two locations. In 2017, The Banquet served 196,000 meals, 25,000 of which went to children under the age of 12.
