After Koch Hazard performed a facility planning study on all four of Pierre’s Elementary Schools, the board opted to build a new school. The new elementary school is located on a 10 acre site in northeastern Pierre. The school can accommodate 400 students and will be completed in August 2015. The firm worked with the District, in association with RMA, back in 2001 and 2002 on facility studies and then followed with additions and renovations to Riggs High School and Morse Middle School. The projects were built by design based building Henry Carlson Co., based on conceptual designs and then Koch Hazard became the Architect for the renovations.
