Design Summary

Koch Hazard Architects and Schwartz/Silver Architects (Boston, MA) undertook planning and preliminary design for a renovation and expansion of the National Music Museum on the University of South Dakota’s campus in 2010. After nearly a decade of fundraising, the completed project includes new and upgraded galleries and 118-seat Recital Hall supported by a conservation lab, classroom, working library and support spaces designed for growth considerations to the year 2035. The project is a 2022 AIA South Dakota Merit Award winner.

Koch Hazard Architects provided complete architectural, interior design and construction administration services for this building.
