KHA Builds New Compost Bins

Koch Hazard volunteers time out at the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum.

This summer, volunteers from Koch Hazard Architects designed and built new compost bins at the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum. The compost bins are part of the raised bed teaching garden, a cooperative project of Groundworks Midwest, SDSU Extension and the Minnehaha County Master Gardeners. The bins provide another teaching opportunity, showing visitors how easy it can be to compost at home.

Koch Hazard Architects also designed and built the raised garden beds in the teaching gardens.
