Howard Wood Press Box

The press box is designed to anchor the existing 10,000-seat grand stand. Stair towers are placed at each press box to increase its presence and apparent mass. Subtle textural and color changes are used to reinforce solidity while the layout of window openings creates a sense of permeability and transparency. This project is a 2015 AIA South Dakota Design Merit Award winner.
