Design Summary

The new Squadron Operations Building for the South Dakota Air National Guard Tactical Fighter Wing will replace the existing out-of-date facility with a new state-of-the-art operations building on the flight-line. The two story facility includes combat operations control, offices for the squadron commander and administrative personnel as well as life support, air crew support, cockpit and egress training, a flight safety section, and two highly secure areas: “Red Zone” Areas which support flight planning, intelligence, classified storage, vault, briefing rooms, and a 50-seat aircrew briefing room. The facility also includes a 200-seat base auditorium and other ancillary spaces for building support.
