KHA Helps Raise Money for Children’s Inn

The firm competed in its 15th snow sculpture competition out at Great Bear Ski Valley.

Koch Hazard Architects assisted Media One, and a handful of other sponsors, in raising over $36,000 for Children’s Inn at the 29th Annual Media One Funski. Events over the weekend included skiing, tubing, snow boarding, sledding (zipfy), kicking (frozen leg kickball), biking (fat bike-cross style race) and sculpting.

The firm competed in its 15th snow sculpture competition out at Great Bear Ski Valley. Other participants included Architecture Incorporated, Associated Consulting Engineers, Inc., Dakota Video & Post, Dunn Brothers Coffee, Gage Brothers, JLG, Perspective, RSArchitects, Sioux Steel, Stone Group Architects and Stockwell. Henry Carlson Company and Structural Engineering Associates also donated money for the event.

Children’s Inn provides free services for women, children and men who are victims of family violence, elder abuse, child abuse, neglect or sexual assault. Children’s Inn was founded in 1977 and through a merger in 1998, became a program of Children’s Home Society of South Dakota, a private, nonprofit organization.
