Client: Sanford Health | Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Completion: 2017 | Area: 103,000 s.f.

Design Summary

Sanford Imagenetics was featured in the August 2018 issue of Healthcare Design, the premier source for design trends in healthcare.

Koch Hazard Architects and HDR worked with Sanford Health to create a translational design solution that supports Sanford’s excellence in patient care, treatment and research, and provides a facility that furthers their work in the ground-breaking field of genomics. To achieve Sanford’s vision, the design focuses on spaces that foster collaboration and connections among clinical teams and research teams. The facility houses general internal medicine, dialysis, medical genetics, genetic counseling, medical genetics laboratories (cytogenetics and molecular genetics), and radiology. It is the first facility of its kind in the nation.

Koch Hazard Architects provided architectural, interior design and construction administration services for this building. The firm collaborated with HDR Omaha for the project.
