Date of Completion: Est. 2024 | Area: 73,000 s.f.

Design Summary

Koch Hazard Architects were retained by the Yankton School District along with Wold Architects and Engineers to complete a facilities condition assessment and planning services focusing on elementary and early childhood education facilities in 2021. Following the completion of the assessments and a task force recommendation to the school board, the design team was hired in 2022 to design a new 73,000 s.f. Early Childhood Center. The new school will serve preschool, junior-K and Kindergarten students for the entire district.  A planned expansion will add first grade and free up space at the existing elementaries for additional improvements at those schools.

Koch Hazard Architects provided architectural, interior design and construction administration services for this building in collaboration with Wold Architects and Engineers.
