In 2013, Koch Hazard Architects was asked to provide the District with a facility planning study. After Koch Hazard Architects performed an extensive facility planning study on all four of Pierre’s elementary schools, the board opted to build a new school. The new elementary school is located on a 10 acre site in northeastern Pierre.
