Dakota Dental

Client: Dakota Dental | Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Date of Completion: 2025 | Area: 20,000 s.f.

Dakota Dental partnered with Koch Hazard Architects to design a new 20,000-square-foot facility tailored to the practice’s workflow and long-term growth. Careful study of the existing office informed custom casework, treatment room layouts, and specialized details—including double-stacked pocket doors—allowing the new building to replicate and improve daily operations. The design also prioritizes daylight and staff amenities, bringing natural light into offices and breakrooms while creating a welcoming environment for patients.

The architecture emphasizes depth and presence through recessed window bays that introduce shadow and dimension to the façade. A prominent glass and wood entry portal anchors the building and glows at night, drawing visitors toward the shared lobby.

Inside, mirrored reception and checkout desks are separated by a patterned glass wall that allows daylight to extend deeper into the space, creating a bright and comfortable experience for staff and patients alike.
